Sirius Technical Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer for one of the leading shipyards on the beautiful Gulf Coast.
Must have BS in Electrical Engineering with appropriate engineering training and documented work history.
3-5 years’ experience in marine electrical systems design.
Performs engineering work in designing, planning and overseeing manufacture, construction and installation of electric or electronic components and systems.
Must be familiar with shipboard integration of electrical and electronic systems, working knowledge of ABS and other regulatory rules.
Must be capable of developing wiring diagrams and block diagrams with the required analysis with the system development.
Ensures designs meet regulatory standards related to electrical installations
Supervises or directs work of drafters and or designers
Considerable knowledge of electrical design associated with division products
Good knowledge of regulatory and company standards applicable to electrical installations for division products
Ability to translate technical requirements into usable engineering data
Ability to function as a team leader and member
Must me familiar with development of purchase technical specifications.
Experience in Electrical Engineering, shipbuilding and production processes
