Responsibilities

HazTek Inc. is seeking a Safety Professional.

The key functions of the Safety Professional are to support our client's dredging project needs and ensure that best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and an improved safety culture and performance is delivered.

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of a dredging project ensuring OSHA and Army Corps of Engineer compliance
Conduct daily safety meetings
Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
Daily safety audits and inspections
Qualifications
Qualifications Include:

Minimum 5 consecutive years of safety experience required
OSHA 30 hour card required
First Aid/CPR certified
Must provide proof of 8 completed hours of safety training every year for the last 5 years. First Aid/CPR and OSHA 30 trainings DO NOT count towards this requirement.
Previous dredging experience preferred
Previous Army Core of Engineering experience highly preferred
Must be comfortable being on a boat for long periods of time
