Pay: $38/hr plus per diem


Job Description:


Responsible for various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, assembling and erection of metal components at the various stages in constructing a marine vessel.

At times will be working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day.

Qualifications:


2+ years of Shipfitting experience

Basic math, reading and comprehension skills.

Read and interpret blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements.

Knowledge of the layout, fit-up and fabrication of steel plate and beam.

Experience with various trade specific tools such as: grinder, hand torch, hydraulic and ratchet jack, chain fall and/or come-a-long, combination square, framing square, hand level and plumb bob.

Must have the following PPE


Hardhat

Safety glasses with side shields

Welding shield

Welding gloves

Long sleeve shirt

6" high top leather boots/shoes

Long pants that cover the boot/top of shoes


THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ON SITE WELD TEST. ALL CANDIDATES WILL BE SUBMITTED BY ALL ABOUT LABOR AND SENT TO THE SITE IN PASCAGOULA. TEST RESULTS COME BACK IMMEDIATELY


ONCE YOU PASS THE TEST , THE DRUG TESTING AND BACKGROUND SCREENING PROCESS WILL COMMENSE. YOU WILL NEED TO STAY IN TOWN TO COMPLETE THESE.
