Tradesmen International has an IMMEDIATE position for ALUMINUM STRUCTURAL WELDERS available in Warren RI. This is a LONG-TERM position with the potential for plenty of overtime each week! JOB DETAILS:
- Minimum 5yrs marine welding experience
- Minimum 3 years MIG aluminum welding experience
- Starting Pay: $25/hr
- Per Diem: $120/working day for qualified candidates
- 40+ hrs/wk; potential for plenty of overtime
- Long-term expected duration
- Must have own vehicle
- Must have own tools
- Must have own PPE
- Employee would be responsible for own travel/lodging

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have experience with weldment that meets the quality standards as defined in the ABS Guide for Nondestructive Inspection, Section 10
- Must be able to test/qualify for client-specific Welding Procedure Specifications for Aluminum Hull Welding in according with ASME Section IX, AWD D1.2 and/or ABS Rules for Materials & Welding Part 2
- Must have experience with GMAW-Pulse, .047 wire on 3mm-12mm aluminum plate
- Must have experience with Lincoln C-300 welder
- Weld test is a T-Joint, foot long vertical pass, foot long overhead pass

SCOPE OF WORK/JOB DUTIES:
- MIG aluminum welding
- Some stick & flux core welding required
- Marine work on commercial marine vessels
:: Anything from tug boats to passenger ferries to large tankers
- New construction
- Possibility of working in a heated construction bay
