Job Description
Marine Pipe welder is an individual who assembles, installs, and maintains pipes for various systems and projects. He is assigned to complete welding on pipes by following strict NAVY standards and procedures, along with ensuring that hangers, valves and support structures are properly installed and maintained.
Pipe welder requires the ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematics is also required when applying for this position, as are the skills in recognizing the mechanical functions of moving parts and applying this knowledge to welding projects.
Main duties-
Complete welding pipe’s job using copper nickel, stainless steel or carbon steel. Install and verify operation of high-pressure steel gas pipe and fittings and fabricate and install steel fittings on water / gas mains.
