PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring for experienced Marine Electricians for Nassco's Norfolk yard in Norfolk, VA. Must have shipyard experience. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen in order to obtain a DBIDs. Competitive pay from $24-$28 an hour DOE. Shift : 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM & 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Marine Electrician.
Must have shipyard experience.
Must be able to access all Navy installations and other shipyards.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check and drug screen in order to obtain a DBIDs.
Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at heights and in confining or restricted spaces aboard vessels under construction/repair. Physical dexterity must allow for bending, reaching, climbing, crawling, and working on ladders and scaffolding. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of weight. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to vapors, gases, dust, welding/burning fumes, and smoke. Must be able to spend up to 90% of time in an outdoor shipyard environment in all climates. The noise level is usually moderate to extremely noisy 90% of the time, which may include sirens, horns, chipping, and hammering.
