We are looking for an experienced shop machinist with six or more years of machining experience.
Located in Newport News, Virginia
Pay depends upon experience up to $38 an hour and $120 a day per diem for days worked. This is an opportunity to work up to two years and make a real difference.

Experience:
Five years’ minimum experience as an Inside-Shop Machinist.

Recommended Skills:
•Safety orientated
•Proficient with Numerical Controlled Processes, Manual Data Input, Tooling Offsets, Conversation Controllers, etc.
•Operate Manual and/or NC machines such as: lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, EDMs, etc.
•Proficient with controllers such as: Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, Cincinnati-Milacron, etc.
•Proficient with the use of precision measuring instruments: outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, verniers, etc.
•Proficient with threading and the various measuring/gauging requirements Drilling/tapping processes
•Familiar with carbide machining processes
•Ability to comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints
•Strong math skills
•Machinist or Tool & Die Apprenticeship Required
