Job Title: Structural Welder for DOD Class Frigate Warships

Location: Northeast Wisconsin

We are currently seeking a highly-skilled Structural Welder to join our team for building DOD (Navy) Class Frigate warships in North East Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to pass welding tests in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions using .052 wire on 3/8" carbon steel. The role will involve working in an indoor, climate-controlled environment with some outdoor work as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Perform structural welding tasks on DOD Class Frigate warships using .052 wire on 3/8" carbon steel
- Pass welding tests in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions to meet quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand welding requirements and specifications
- Ensure all welded structures meet safety and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with the team to complete welding projects on schedule
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Structural Welder in a shipbuilding or marine construction environment
- Proficiency in welding with .052 wire on 3/8" carbon steel in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions
- Certification in welding techniques and processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Attention to detail and precision in welding tasks
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including outdoor settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

$25/hr DOE
$100 per diem (days worked)
