Job Title: GTAW Pipe Welder – DOD Navy Ships (Marinette, WI)
Job Description: Seeking experienced GTAW pipe welders for new construction of DOD Navy ships in Marinette, WI. Candidates must have expertise in CUNI socket welds, 6G Stainless steel welding, and the ability to pass macro etch testing.
Responsibilities:
Perform GTAW welding on CUNI and 6G Stainless steel pipes
Ensure socket welds meet strict quality standards
Interpret blueprints and welding specifications
Inspect and test welded structures for defects
Maintain safety protocols and collaborate to meet deadlines
Requirements:
Proven GTAW pipe welding experience
Must have experience with Copper Nickel to Carbon 6G, Copper Nickel 6G, Stainless Steel 6G, Aluminum 6G, CuNi to Carbon Steel and Carbon to Stainless Steel
Welding certification required
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
Shipbuilding experience is a plus
