360X Staffing is hiring for Marine Insulators in Jacksonville, FL.

Pay: $28/hr + $130 daily per diem for days worked

Job Description:

The Marine Insulator installs, repairs, and removes thermal, acoustic, and fireproofing insulation on Navy and commercial vessels. Work includes piping systems, bulkheads, equipment, and machinery spaces while following shipyard and Navy specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and remove insulation on piping, ventilation systems, machinery, and structural areas.
Apply insulation materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, cellular glass, foam, ceramic fiber, and lagging.
Fabricate and install metal jacketing, coverings, and vapor barriers.
Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials using hand tools, knives, shears, and fabrication tools.
Work in confined spaces, tanks, bilges, and elevated areas on ships.
Follow NAVSEA and shipyard standards for insulation thickness, installation methods, and fire-safety requirements.
Remove old or damaged insulation safely and dispose of materials per environmental rules.
Support QA inspections and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Qualifications:

Prior marine or industrial insulation experience preferred.
Ability to read basic ship drawings, sketches, and installation instructions.
Knowledge of insulation types used on Navy and commercial vessels.
Able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in hot or cold environments.
Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Must be eligible for DBIDS access if working on naval installations.

Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Working Hours: 50+ hours per week
