Pay: $22/hr + $130 daily per diem for days worked

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled 1st Class Structural Welder to join our team at a commercial shipyard in Erie, PA. As a Structural Welder, you will play a key role in commercial ship repair, specializing in welding and fabrication tasks to ensure the structural integrity of marine vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on marine vessels, including steel components, structures, and fittings
- Utilize various welding techniques such as stick, MIG, and TIG welding to meet project requirements
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures
- Ensure the structural integrity and quality of welded joints, following industry standards and safety protocols
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition and adhere to proper maintenance procedures
- Collaborate with engineering teams and other departments to coordinate welding projects effectively

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a 1st Class Structural Welder in a commercial shipyard or marine repair setting

Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Hours: 60+/week
