CTR has a need for 1st Class Pipe Welders for Shipyard in Newport News, VA
Long Term/ Full Time/ OT available/ Per Diem available for Non locals/ Paid Weekly/ Full Benefits available $50.00/hr + $140 a day per diem

Must have Minimum of five years commercial/naval experience in trade in Shipyards
Must have Minimum of five years Pipe Welding
Required Skills:
Multi-pass. All position fillet, butt welds using the SMAW.
Ability to fuse inserts, weld carbon steel, stainless steel and copper nickel pipe using the SMAW and GTAW processes.
Mirror weld using the SMAW and GTAW processes.
Heating - Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch

Must be able to weld test in person
Must be able to attend Welding school Testing will run approximately 2 1/2 weeks

Must be able to pass drug test and background check
