Looking for a minumum of 3 Welding Mechanics (accepting all levels) and a minumum of 3 Assembly Mechanics (accepting all levels). Contract with potenital temp to perm.

Welding Mechanic JD
POSITION SUMMARY:
Fabricate and weld assemblies, beams, girders, boats, piping, etc., from Aluminum, stainless and copper nickel according to contract specifications and blueprints. Responsible for leading and directing others in this fabrication process. With minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and interpret all types of drawings and sketches, lay out and assemble with speed and accuracy and with minimal aid of supervision.
Identify material types, cut to length, lay out and fit up welded or bolted detail, show weld sizes, piece marks, direction marks, etc.
Develop, bend, roll, build up, and assemble various types of aluminum, stainless or copper nickel assemblies, piping and structures.
Works with Supervisor to organize and direct crew.
Ability to work to a build plan based on drawings, job procedure manuals and applicable codes.
Has latitude to self-direct for best practice and through-put.
Responsible for maintaining established schedules.
Will assist Supervisor to organize and direct crew as necessary
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
Ability to follow written and oral instructions regarding daily functions, safety rules and regulations, and possible hazardous conditions.
Ability to communicate with and instruct team members on the project.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience and ability to perform the above referenced essential functions and responsibilities.
Sufficient knowledge in burning, welding, and operation of production machines and cranes.
Knowledge of pipe welding of aluminum, stainless and copper nickel a plus
Knowledgeable in the operation of all fabrication equipment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5-7 years of welding/fabrication experience, or apprentice program.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Capable of passing a 3G, 4G Aluminum weld test on 3/8 plate to AWS D1.2 weld standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift, carry 60Lbs., or maneuver objects, difficult objects will be lifted with the assistance of mechanical means or additional workers.
Must be able to lift 4 ft., 60 lb. spool of wire and load welding machine.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
Capable of working from ladders and scaffolding.
