NSC Staffing is currently hiring Shipyard GTAW/TIG PIPE WELDERS for work located in Northeastern Wisconsin. Candidates must have 3-5 years of related pipe welding experience.

Responsibilities (Functions/Duties):
Pipe Welder prepares and welds plate and fittings for various material types as specified by construction drawings and technical guidance documents. Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass GTAW/TIG welding test on copper nickel, Aluminum, Carbon Steel in the 6G position.

Period of Performance: 12 Months
Shift: 1st Shift 8-10 hours per day, depending on production demands

PIPE WELD TESTING:
Testing may be scheduled in Chesapeake, VA or in Marinette, WI
Must be able to pass a 6G GTAW OPEN ROOT OR BACKING RING on the following pipes.
-Copper Nickel to Carbon Steel
-Copper Nickel to Copper Nickel
-Aluminum with backing plate

Must be able to pass the following sockets once on the job:
-Copper Nickel to Carbon
-Carbon to Stainless
-Carbon Steel
-Stainless Steel
-Copper Nickel to Copper Nickel
