Pay: $24.31 per hour

Job Summary:
Join our dynamic shipyard team as a Shipyard Laborer and be an essential part of constructing, repairing, and maintaining maritime vessels. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, teamwork, and craftsmanship are at the forefront. As a Shipyard Laborer, you will assist skilled tradespeople by performing a variety of hands-on tasks that keep our projects moving forward efficiently and safely. Your contribution will help ensure the successful delivery of high-quality ships while gaining valuable experience in marine construction and industrial operations.

Essential Functions:
Follow all shipyard safety rules, procedures, and regulations
Operate hand and power tools, including grinders, to clean, smooth, and prepare metal surfaces.
Grind welds, edges, and surfaces to meet production and quality standards
Assist skilled trades (welders, shipfitters, etc.) with daily tasks
Perform general labor such as cleaning work areas, organizing supplies, and disposing of debris to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
Assist in other tasks as directed by supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained

Qualifications:
Previous shipyard or industrial experience preferred
Grinding experience required
Ability to safely operate grinders and other basic tools
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
Must successfully complete urinalysis and background check
