We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Shipfitters to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in shipbuilding production or ship repair, particularly working with heavy steel structures. The successful candidate will play a key role in fabrication, assembly, and production across various shipyard operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures, rules, and regulations
- Work independently using established instructions, standards, and guidelines
- Utilize shipbuilding tools such as grinders, torches, and related equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately
- Perform basic plate and stiffener assembly
- Contribute to large panel and double bottom production, including pre-outfitting
- Assist in web line production, including plate cutting
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; ensure cleanliness at shift end
- Operate across all production areas, including yard, dry dock, and fabrication shops
- Conduct pre-job checks before starting hot work
- Protect surrounding areas from hot work damage, including painted surfaces and equipment
- Occasionally move and store materials as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 4 years of shipyard experience, including:
* Shipbuilding production or ship repair
* Fabrication of heavy steel structures
* Experience with pressure vessels, boilers, or similar products
* Welding, fitting, and use of hand tools
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
