360X Staffing is hiring for multiple Structural Fitters in Cameron, TX.

Pay: $40/hr + $150 daily per diem for days worked

Job Description:

We are looking for skilled Structural Fitters for an opportunity to fabricate and fit heavy steel components for the aircraft carrier and submarine industrial base for the Department of Defense.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
- Fabricate and fit heavy steel components using straightedge, combination square, calipers, ruler, jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
- Develop templates and work aids to hold and align parts accurately
- Read, understand, and adhere to established weld and production procedures
- Measure dimensions of completed products to verify conformance to specifications
- Mark reference points accurately onto workpieces, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage


Required Qualifications
- Experience in structural fitting, welding, and fabrication in a production environment
- Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and SAW welding processes
- Operation of grinding equipment and material handling tools
- Capability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds and handle heavy weights
- Strong eye-hand coordination, mental focus, and visual attention
