Pay: $37.50/Hour
Per Diem: $120.00/Day offered to non-local candidates
Location: Goose Creek, SC
Duration: 6+ Years
Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift

Job Description:

Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to manufacture metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions.

Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines the sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.

Uses machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Performs shop calculations relating to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.

Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines required materials, parts, and equipment. May modify programs on numerically controlled (NC) machines and monitor and verify quality.

Minimum Requirements:

• Level 3 Inside Machinist
• 5 years of related experience
• High School Diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred
• Formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience

• SIEMENS 840D Controls
• Large-part machining
• Strong machine setup and precision machining experience

Shifts:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
