NOW HIRING – STRUCTURAL WELDER (PULSE ARC) – GOOSE CREEK, SC

PMQS is looking for experienced Structural Welders (Pulse Arc) for a long-term opportunity in Goose Creek, South Carolina!

Pay: $38/hour – $45/hour once you pass the Pulse Arc test
Per Diem: $120/day
Location: Goose Creek, SC
Duration: Long-Term Job – 6+ Years

Schedule:
Initial 2 weeks: 5/12s, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
After initial 2 weeks: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM (2nd Shift)
Shift supports production and is subject to change.

Requirements:

Must have applicable experience working in a shipyard within the past 3 years.

High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and/or related experience; OR Apprentice Graduate/Associate’s Degree in a relevant discipline and 3 years of related experience.

May require certification.

Must pass Hair Follicle Drug Test (HFT) and Background Check (BGC).

Job Description:

Performs welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys. Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Testing:

1. Pulse – 2G, 3G, 4G plate test. 1” thickness with a backgouge. (VT and Side Bend)
2. Spray – 2G plate test. ¾” thickness. (VT and Side Bend)
3. FCAW – 2G, 3G, 4G plate test. ¾” thickness with backing. (VT and Side Bend)
