NSC Staffing is seeking experienced Pipefitters for an exciting marine construction and repair project in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This is an outstanding opportunity for skilled journeymen to work on complex marine piping systems while contributing to major ship repair, maintenance, and modernization programs.
Position Overview
As a Pipefitter Journeyman, you will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of marine piping systems. Work will be performed in accordance with NAVSEA, Military Sealift Command (MSC), ABS, and other applicable industry standards.
Marine systems may include:
Layout, fabricate, repair, modify, and install marine piping systems in accordance with specifications and regulatory standards.
Operate pipefitting equipment including table saws, pipe threading machines, power and manual bending machines, drill presses, and brazing equipment.
Perform tank blanking and pressure testing for structural boundary testing.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, technical manuals, and work specifications.
Ensure all work meets Navy, MSC, ABS, and customer requirements.
Provide guidance and direction to helpers, trainees, and improvers as assigned.
Maintain a safe work environment while following all company and OSHA safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
2-5 years of experience in pipefitting, with at least 2 years of experience in maritime pipefitting.
Experience using hydraulic pipe bending systems.
Strong knowledge of P-73 joint fit-up and Silver Brazing theory.
