Pay: $28/hr + $50/day per diem for days worked
Lodging: Provided for the entire duration of the job
Schedule: Monday–Saturday
Hours: 60+ hours/week

Job Description
We are seeking experienced 1st Class Flux Core Welders for a heavy shipyard construction project. Candidates must have strong shipyard FCAW experience, including ceramic tape backing and structural welding in all positions.

Responsibilities
Perform structural welding using FCAW.

Weld structural steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

Complete full-penetration welds using ceramic tape backing.

Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and WPS.

Produce welds that meet shipyard quality standards.

Safely operate and maintain welding equipment.

Follow all shipyard safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of structural welding experience.

Heavy shipbuilding, ship repair experience required.

Current hands-on FCAW experience.

Current experience with ceramic tape backing.

Proven ability to weld structural steel in all positions.

Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and WPS.

Strong knowledge of welding equipment setup and basic troubleshooting.

Must be able to pass the required weld test.
