NOW HIRING: STRUCTURAL WELDERS in PASCAGOULA MISSISSIPPI

Trade Team is hiring experienced 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class Structural Welders for shipyard work!

PAY RATES + PER DIEM:

- 1st Class:$42.00/hour + $147 per diem
- 2nd Class:$36.96/hour + $147 per diem
- 3rd Class:$35.28/hour + $147 per diem

LODGING ASSISTANCE

Advanced lodging assistance may be available for candidates with a clean background check, a passed hair follicle drug screen, and a successful welding test.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Clean lifetime background check required
- Hair follicle drug screening conducted on-site by Ingalls
- Must pass the required welding test
- Strong structural welding experience required
- Must be proficient in FCAW (Flux-Core) and SMAW (Stick)

WELDING TEST REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be prepared to demonstrate structural welding skills in the following positions:

- 2G Horizontal
- 3G Vertical
- 4G Overhead

Welding Processes: FCAW and SMAW

WHAT TO EXPECT ON TEST DAY

Warm-Up Period

- Approximately 15 minutes may be provided to warm up and familiarize yourself with the machine and setup.

- Use this time to check your technique and make adjustments.
- Official testing time begins when the actual test starts.

Test Material:

Two test plates will be provided. Follow the testing administrator's instructions regarding plate positioning, joint preparation, welding position, welding sequence, required process, and cleaning between passes.

-Multi-Pass Weld Sequence

Candidates should be familiar with the proper welding sequence:

1. Root Pass
2. Clean Between Passes
3. Hot Pass
4. Clean Between Passes
5. Cover/Cap Pass

IMPORTANT: BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING

This shipyard conducts a hair follicle drug screen on-site.
