PRST is now hiring experienced Structural Fitters for specialized submarine construction and marine manufacturing projects in South Carolina and Michigan.

Job Type: Temporary/Temp-to-Hire (Relocation Package)
Location: South Carolina (SC) & Michigan (MI)
Pay Rate: $22–$34 per hour, depending on experience
Per Diem: $130–$150 per day worked
Available Shifts: Day/Night

Job Requirements
•Two to four years of experience in structural steel fitting, metal fabrication, shipbuilding, or a related industrial field preferred.
•Experience working in confined spaces and restricted-access areas.
•Experience fitting dense internal structural framing or assembling complex steel structures preferred.
•Experience with submarine construction, shipbuilding, marine fabrication, or other precision structural assembly environments.
•Familiarity with structural rafts, floating deck assemblies, vibration-isolation mounts, or similar precision-mounted structures is beneficial.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, fabrication specifications, and technical work instructions.
•Strong knowledge of structural fitting, steel layout, alignment, and assembly techniques.
•Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment.
•Knowledge of welding preparation, grinding, beveling, and torch cutting.
•Experience with overhead cranes, hoists, rigging, and material-handling equipment.
•Strong mathematical skills, including measurements, fractions, decimals, and dimensional calculations.
•Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain tight tolerances in complex assemblies.
