360X Staffing is hiring for multiple Seam Welders in Marinette, WI.

Pay: $33/hr + $185 daily per diem for days worked

Job Description

Seeking experienced Seam Welders for shipyard work involving the welding of 3/8" steel plate using .052 flux-core wire and ceramic tape backing. Welders must be able to accurately fit and weld their own test plates and produce quality vertical and horizontal seams.

Responsibilities
Fit and tack your own welding test plates prior to welding.
Weld vertical and horizontal seams using .052 flux-core wire (FCAW).
Use ceramic tape backing strips to achieve full-penetration welds.
Perform quality welds on 3/8" steel plate.
Grind, clean, and prepare weld areas as required.
Follow welding procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Welder Qualification Test

Candidates must successfully complete a practical welding test consisting of:
Four (4) – 12" x 12" x 3/8" steel plates
Plates must be fit and tacked by the welder
Weld both vertical and horizontal seams
.052 flux-core wire
Ceramic tape backing strip
Welds will be evaluated for quality and proper penetration
Qualifications

Previous shipyard, structural, or heavy industrial welding experience preferred
Strong FCAW skills
Ability to fit and tack your own plates
Ability to weld vertical and horizontal seams
Must successfully pass the required welding test
Ability to work safely in a shipyard environment
