CTR has an Immediate need for Local Marine Brush and Roll Painters for Shipyard in Newport News, VA
Long term/ Full time/Overtime available/Full Benefits available Pay range is DOE up to $26/hr
1st and 2nd class

Perform painting operations in dry docks, shipyards, onboard vessels, and industrial facilities.
Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and harsh weather conditions as needed.
Handle chemicals, solvents, and flammable materials with extreme caution.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:

Prior Navy personnel is preferred
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Marine Painter in a shipyard, or maritime environment.
Familiarity with marine coatings, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficiency in airless spray, conventional spray, and hand-painting techniques.
Understanding of NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32, MIL-SPEC coatings, and SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) standards is a plus.
Ability to read technical drawings, work orders, and safety data sheets (SDS).
Must have own basic tools and PPE
Must be able to pass drug tests and pass background check to work on a government facility
