Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Contract

TDS is in immediate need of a START-UP COORDINATOR. Duration of the project, will be minimum of a year.
The Start-Up Coordinator will be assigned to various sites throughout the project. (OH, PA, NJ)

Pay @ $60/HR
Per Diem @ $200/Day x 7

Start-Up Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities

Summary of Primary Job Duties Individual is responsible for development and on-site coordination of equipment/relay Info Orders, Work Plans, Isolation (Cut-Over) plans, Functional Test Plans, Cascade Documents, CIP Equipment Lists, Bar-Coding, Final Documentation Uploads (Project Wise), Completion of Project Binder, Equipment Energization Lists, Equipment Energization Notifications, and Unintended Incident notifications. Individual is also responsible for the coordination of all apparatus and relay testing activities, functional test activities and documentation of As-Left/As-Built Station Status (Station Prints and As-Left Relay Settings).

Provide administrative and technical support of field related substation testing and commissioning
activities. Plan, perform, coordinate, and supervise on-site testing and commissioning activities (precommissioning, field testing, demonstration testing, energization, and post energization) as required by the project scope.

Provides field engineering support to the electricians in the wiring of the substation protective relaying and control systems, verifying the wiring is fully complete per the design drawings, and executing the Pre-Energization Checkout and Testing to ensure the control schemes work as intended.

Ensure the performance of field testing of high voltage substation equipment is completed accurately
and safely. Capable of developing and executing substation equipment and relaying test procedures to
ensure proper operation of yard equipment. Provide technical instruction, mentoring, and guidance to
field testing technicians with regard to substation systems and electrical power systems.

Responsible for identifying problems with design, installation, or commissioning of high voltage
substations. Tasks include producing test and commissioning documentation, advising on testing
commissioning procedures, monitoring progress and analyzing test results, overseeing teams of
technicians and ensuring they are in compliance with all health and safety regulations, ensuring
compliance of testing QA/QC processes, regularly meeting & corresponding with Project Manager or
Client, and able to act independently on technical matters related to testing & commissioning.

Associates or Bachelors (preferred) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology,Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent. Level 3/4 NETA or NICET Certified. Requires Ten (10) years of applicable electrical testing experience. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Must have a good understanding of transmission level protective relaying schemes and exhibit advanced
knowledge of electrical industry standards. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills,
strong leadership skills, attention to safety, strong analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Must be advanced in the use of electrical testing equipment and tools.
