Control Systems Engineer
An ATSS Engineering client is an innovative engineering services and software development firm with immediate openings in their Mobile, AL; Birmingham, AL; and Orlando, FL offices. Control Systems Engineer is responsible for developing the applications that allow people to do specific tasks on a computer or developing the underlying systems that run the devices or control networks.
Requirements •MUST: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any engineering discipline from an Accredited University.
•MUST: Software development and database technologies in a wide variety of languages and environments. (C++, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server 2012).
•MUST: Ability to design and program PLC’s (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens).
•MUST: Hands on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
•MUST: Interpersonal Skills since there will be some business development.
•MUST: Minimum of 2 years' work experience.
•Siemens PCS7 experience a big plus.
•Ability to quickly understand and utilize new technologies.
•Knowledge of database management techniques, data architecture and design techniques.
•Proven expertise with PCS-based, DCS-based or PLC-based control systems.
•Proven expertise with software development and database technologies including Microsoft Visual C++, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server 2012.
•Proficient in object-oriented design and application development using Microsoft technologies. (MCPD, MCM, MCSM, or MCA a plus).
•Strong analytical background with the ability to solve problems efficiently.
•Proven history of designing programs from ground up.
•Good planning and organization skills.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Desire to work in a growing company (50+ employees currently).
•Willing to travel 25 to 35 percent.
•Control Systems Engineer will be subjected to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
