Electrical Designers with T&D / substation experience needed for upcoming, long-term openings in the southeast and midwest.
This is an intermediate level position that will be focused on the detail design upgrades to distribution lines and substations. Work is performed under general supervision. Individual needs to understand distribution and substation drawings, IEEE standards, structure, and relationships. Prepare and develop the engineering deliverables for electrical distribution and substation projects – including physical general arrangements, electrical one-line, and detailed physical layouts. Job will require to walk down equipment to cross check drawings and to coordinate with others on the team and to correctly update As-Build configurations into applicable documents. Will work closely with Drafters to finalize/revise drawings and approve for issuance.
Basic Qualifications: Graduation from a two-year college or university in a technical field, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology. Minimum of 5 years’ distribution or substation experience. Must have working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD. Ability to proficiently use electrical drawings including elementary and one line drawings, connection drawings, panel outline drawings, and vendor documents.
