$25-$28 per hour (DOE) expected 60 hour week - plus $3.00 per hour to 40 hours (Max $120 per week) for use of personal vehicle - per diem $600 per week.
We are currently seeking a short term (approximately 2 months) Project Safety Supervisor at Triple H substation, Highmore, SD.
The Project Safety Supervisor provides safety support, leadership and technical expertise on an assigned project. The Project Safety Supervisor is present at all times while work is being performed. The Project Safety Supervisor is responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure compliance with site specific safety plans, corporate safety plans and policies, project requirements, and all Federal, State, local requirements.
Ensure project specific safety training is provided to notify all employees, including subcontractors, of site-specific safety requirements, Contractors site-specific plans, and required Federal, State, and local laws, rules and regulations.
Ensure adequate safety oversight over employees and subcontractors is provided at all times during construction operations.
Ensure adequate, appropriate, and timely actions are taken to correct hazards once identified.
Ensure attendance and participation at project safety meetings including attendance of subcontractor safety personnel.
Ensure incident reporting procedures are in place and understood as required.
Ensure all reporting is completed in a timely fashion.
Collaborate with customers and outside agencies as required.
Educate/train employees in regulatory and company requirements
Conduct and/or participate in incident investigation
Available for on-call and emergency response
Conduct environmental, health and safety compliance audits to ensure compliance
Additional duties as assigned by Safety Director
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years Safety Supervision/Technician experience
OSHA 500 Certification Current
Current FA/CPR certification
Valid Drivers License
Computer Skills/proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, etc
Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
Ability to anticipate and meet project safety and customer needs
