Project Engineer (Electrical/Substation) Richmond VA
Project: This will support installation of (3) substations 25 miles offshore

Work Location: Richmond VA
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidates requested rate
Work Schedule: 5x8's to start, but OT may be required during construction phases
PD: $213.00 (7 days for FT contractors)
Mob / Demob: $500.00
Duration: Initially 36 months

Position Details/Scope of Work:

This will be 3+years of support. This will support installation of (3) substations 25 miles offshore
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide design oversight, technical expertise, and guidance for offshore wind collection stations substations
Work with the project team to create all design documents and drawings, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layout plan, section and detail drawings and application of mark-ups for project-built drawings-perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Matlab, Excel, etc.
Specification development for the procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment
Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies
Communicate and coordinate project activities with the project lead, customer representatives, and other stakeholders

Education Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical engineering from an accredited university
Three to ten years of experience performing engineering related duties
Strong written and verbal communication skills
