Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Instrumentation & Control Technicians in Corpus Christi TX Area

PAY: $35.00 per hour
Per Diem: $90.00 per day work
HOURS: 50+/ wk
DURATION: 6 + months
START DATE: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR AN INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIAN:

The successful candidate will have the ability to Work independently under the guidance and direction of the building automation lead, position is responsible for programming, monitoring, installing, testing, re-commissioning, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and programming SCADA and building automation systems (BAS) including HVAC, building lighting and other integrated systems. Other duties include updating and maintaining the graphical web interface that enables systems monitoring and diagnosis and applying knowledge of multiple communications protocols including BACnet, ARCnet, Modbus, TCP/IP and Niagara

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIAN:

Must have a minimum of 5+ years of I&C or Electrical experience
Knowledge of using hand tools, meters, and testing equipment
Efficient in installing per the NEC Code Book
Experienced in handling low to high-voltage
Ability to interpret I&C prints and schematics
Ability to install I&C equipment and circuit modification

Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain a variety of instruments and control systems- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment- Perform preventive maintenance on instruments and control systems- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure proper operation of equipment- Document all maintenance activities and keep accurate records- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR AN INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIAN:
OSHA 10 Certification REQUIRED
Pre-employment drug screen

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information that requires little explanation or interpretation
