Power Plant Manager - KBR Government Solutions U.S.

This project will provide the Customer’s Headquarters facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.

KBR is in search of a skilled Power Plant Manager to lead our power generation facilities' operations and maintenance. You will manage a team of around 60 specialists, focusing on operational effectiveness, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical acumen, an eye for detail, and a proven ability to make decisions and adhere to strict deadlines.

This is a 24x7 operation which requires provision of on-call support. Your role transcends conventional limits, placing a premium on the solid availability of essential systems. It's imperative that these systems remain operational without interruption. Your vigilant oversight and proactive maintenance strategies are the cornerstones of our commitment to delivering stellar customer service.

In the role of Power Plant Manager, duties will include:

Formulating and enforcing operational and maintenance standards that support company objectives, contractual requirements and comply with regulatory and environmental standards.
Hiring, training, and leading a competent workforce to be versatile and technically savvy.
Orchestrating activities to align with the overarching contract requirements and to ensure smooth plant operations.
Guaranteeing the continuity of critical infrastructure operations, with a commitment to reliability for around-the-clock mission support.
Executing thorough evaluations of facilities to guide the prioritization of key upgrade projects and enhancements for energy management and automation.
Implementing work processes and leveraging data analysis to assist clients with achieving reliable equipment performance at cost-effective rates.
Familiarity with deploying Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for asset-intensive operations.
Drafting comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
Communicating effectively with diverse teams, responding to questions, and solving a range of operational issues.
Applying corporate standards diligently and upholding strict adherence to environmental, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
Keeping a close watch on contractual obligations and staying informed of any regulatory changes that impact facility operations.
Requirements

An active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance, and qualification for a TS/SCI with polygraph.
At least 10 years of experience in the operations and maintenance of power plants.
Experience working in 24x7 mission critical environments where continuous availability is essential and of the highest priority.
In-depth knowledge of power and chiller plant systems, their standard configurations, and emergency procedures.
Ability to read construction design and equipment drawings.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
Proficiency with personal computers, especially Microsoft Office.
Possession of a valid driver's license, as driving is a necessary part of company duties.
