Functions as a technical specialist or lead in substation design, handling distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission voltage classes. Develops and applies advanced engineering techniques to complex problems, guiding a team or supervising engineering staff. Leads engineers, interfaces with clients, and ensures project quality and execution. Utilizes Bluebeam for QA checks and designs high-voltage substation drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains budgets and schedules for multiple substation design projects.
Performs high-voltage substation design, emphasizing continuous improvement.
Assists in developing, maintaining, and updating engineering standards.
Provides technical guidance to others and ensures compliance with quality programs.
Prepares engineering deliverables, conducts research, and makes recommendations.
Manages budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
Coordinates with internal/external team members and interfaces with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Skills:
Specific experience with 500KV - 13.8KV substations, varying voltage classes
PE License Required
Minimum 6 years' High Voltage Substation Design Experience, preferably in physical or P&C Design.
Quality Assurance and Control of high-voltage substation design projects.
Technical experience preferred, including research and recommendation development.
Preparation of engineering drawings and calculations related to substations.
Reviewing shop drawings, vendor quotes, and bid evaluations.
Experience with various voltage classes, bus configurations, and GIS.
Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and standards.

Education:
PE License Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum 6 years of high-voltage substation design experience.

Hybrid position - ~80 offices located nationally and must be on site 3 days a week.
Contract to Hire position
Pay: market ($50-70/hour)
