Talascend seeks qualified ServiceNow IT Project Manager candidates to join its energy/utility client’s team for a contract career opportunity in Newark, NJ.

Due to the nature of this work, you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible for consideration. This role allows a hybrid work schedule (3 days/week WFH), so you must live within a commutable distance to the office.

Overview
This hybrid role supports the delivery of large-scale IT projects for electric utility clients, with a focus on ServiceNow HAM/SAM implementations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, project execution, and stakeholder management skills in a utility environment.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional project teams and manage project scope, schedule, and cost
Deliver end-to-end ServiceNow projects, specifically in Hardware and Software Asset Management
Oversee teams with internal staff and onshore/offshore vendors
Develop project plans, define deliverables, and ensure alignment with organizational standards
Create and manage work breakdown structures and project budgets
Track milestones, timelines, and project quality
Coordinate stakeholder communications, status reports, and governance reviews
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of IT Project Management experience (additional experience may substitute for degree)
Proven experience leading ServiceNow HAM/SAM projects
IT project management experience within the utility industry
Strong skills in managing project financials, schedules, testing, and stakeholder communications
Deep knowledge of PMO processes and ability to work independently or on collaborative teams
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
PMP certification preferred
