Senior Substation Field Engineer – Remote (Based in Pennsylvania)
Location: Remote with regional travel (WV, PA, MD, NJ, DE, D.C.)

ExecuPOWER is seeking an experienced Senior Substation Field Engineer for a remote position with the ability to travel to site visits that span from West Virginia through Pennsylvania, and up to Northern New Jersey. Lead substation field engineering projects while collaborating closely with Project Engineers and Management to ensure technical deliverables are completed on time, exceeding client expectations.
Review and apply industry standards, client-specific guidelines, and leading-edge technologies in substation protection & control and physical engineering.
Work independently as a self-starter and demonstrate strong customer-facing communication skills.
Expertise in Substation Protection & Control and Physical Design Engineering.
Proficiency in drafting, revising, and submitting technical proposals directly to clients.
Develop technical scopes and estimates efficiently by leveraging team knowledge.
What You'll Be Doing:

Conduct 50%-75% field visits to substation sites across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Northern New Jersey.
Efficiently handle site visits to assess substation protection and control as well as physical scope of work, identifying areas for design enhancements and evaluating solutions to meet client and industry standards.
Collaborate with the substation team to review field notes and develop a technical scope of work for each project.
Prepare project estimates and man-hour calculations during the scoping phase to support project planning.
Draft and submit technical reports and proposals while maintaining clear communication with clients to resolve conflicts or address concerns.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
7+ years of experience in substation design and field engineering.
EIT Certification is a plus; PE License preferred.
Strong understanding of substation physical design and protection & control systems.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in maintaining data quality within ExecuPOWER's and clients' electronic records management systems.
