Senior Construction Manager – Transmission & Substation
Location: On-Site

Work Schedule: Full-Time | ~40 hours/week (Hours dependent on project needs; nights/weekends and OT may be required)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Manager with extensive experience in Transmission and Substation projects. This position requires a strong leader who can manage large-scale electrical construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across the board.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead construction efforts on transmission and substation projects.

Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Supervise and coordinate project teams, including contractors and subcontractors.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure progress, safety, and quality standards.

Resolve project issues and risks proactively, maintaining alignment with project goals.

Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Ensure compliance with all OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations.

Oversee procurement of materials and manage vendor relationships.

Review and approve technical documentation including contracts, reports, and project drawings.

Must-Have Qualifications:
10+ years of construction experience within the electrical transmission and substation domain

Demonstrated leadership in managing complex field construction efforts

Proven experience as a Construction Manager (not to be confused with Project Manager)

Strong presence and communication skills to lead field teams effectively

Ability and willingness to relocate on-site as per project needs

Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (required)

Preferred Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (Microsoft Office Suite)

Strong understanding of substation and transmission construction processes

Flexible mindset with a strong, proactive personality

Ability to adapt to evolving site requirements and schedules
