Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Electricians with Substation experience for an immediate start in Gainestown, AL

PAY: $27-$33/hour (based upon experience)
Per Diem: $150 per workday
HOURS: Shifts will be 10-hour workdays, 6 days per week (60 hours/ week)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Saturday. 7:00 am-5:00 PM
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 2+ months

Industrial Electrician Job Description:

Construction of substation equipment such as power transformers, regulators, circuit breakers, switches, substation control panels, and underground network
Must have experience doing underground conduit and installing above-grade steel for a new substation
Correct and install electrical cables and wires, restoring wireways, conduits, and trunkings, and connecting 3-phase motors, disconnects, and control stations.
Ensure transformers and voltage regulators are kept in proper working order.
Inspect power lines, test voltage and current levels, and replace old circuit breaker fuses.
Diagnose and fix the problem

Qualifications for Industrial Electrician:

Must have extensive knowledge of the schematics of a substation to avoid personal injury and widespread power outages while performing repairs.
Proficiency with wire pulling, running, and bending conduit, installing panels, homeruns, and circuit breakers.
Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
Must have standard electrical hand tools.

Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
