Role Overview

This position supports the site Project Manager (PM) and Project Controls Coordinator (PCC) in managing the financial and contractual elements of assigned projects. The role involves requisition processing, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting to ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with company financial standards.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Tracking: Assist the PM in preparing and submitting purchase order requisitions, while monitoring key PO milestones, expiration dates, and funding levels.

Change Orders: Support change order requisitions, maintain an updated change order log, and ensure accurate documentation.

Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with PMs and financial analysts to prepare monthly cost forecasts, extract cost data from SAP, and analyze variances between forecasts and actual spend to identify improvement areas.

Project Closeout: Partner with PMs, analysts, accounting, and PCCs to complete asset unitization/retirement activities and update project metrics when projects reach closeout.

Capital Budgeting: Contribute to the creation and tracking of Project Request Forms (PRFs) and Estimate Requests with input from PMs, PCCs, and financial analysts.

Audit & Regulatory Support: Collect, organize, and track documentation (POs, COs, PRFs, estimates, etc.) to support biennial reviews, Rider filings, and audit responses.

Documentation & Filing: Develop familiarity with project management filing systems and ensure compliance with documentation standards.

Additional Support: Provide assistance with other project controls activities as required.

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Solid organizational and planning capabilities, coupled with office management proficiency.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerApps) and working knowledge of SAP (or willingness to learn).

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, evaluate processes, and recommend improvements.

Attention to detail with the ability to make sound, informed decisions.
