Position Summary
PTAG is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) to support power transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
The FCC will assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager with field coordination, safety, scheduling, quality control, and contractor management to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily field construction progress and update schedules.
Lead or attend weekly project meetings with contractors and project teams.
Track and review contractor activities, materials, and invoices.
Maintain accurate daily logs, as-built drawings, and project reports.
Identify and resolve field issues with engineers and contractors.
Review contractor safety plans and perform regular safety inspections.
Conduct job site safety briefings and report incidents or near misses.
Review and update the Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Verify test data, materials received, and permit compliance.
Support project closeout and final documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of field experience in utility or power construction (transmission, distribution, substations, or underground networks).
Strong understanding of construction methods, field inspection, and contractor oversight.
Experience with utility materials, asset health programs, and QA/QC inspections.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Access).
Experience with SAP and ProjectWise preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work outdoors, walk ROWs and varied terrain.
Willingness to travel within the service area as required.
Certifications and Requirements
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Background check required.
OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification.
First Aid / AED Certification.
