Position Summary

PTAG is seeking a Project Manager I to support projects within the Power Industry, including transmission, distribution, substations, and generation.
The Project Manager will lead all aspects of project delivery — from planning and budgeting to execution, risk management, and closeout — ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects from initiation through closeout, including scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

Develop and manage project work plans, budgets, and schedules (WBS, OBS, and cost baselines).

Oversee and coordinate internal teams and external contractors.

Manage risks, scope changes, and stakeholder communication.

Oversee construction and commissioning activities to ensure safety and quality compliance.

Track and report on project progress using key performance indicators (CPI/SPI).

Support environmental and quality programs across project phases.

Serve as the main point of contact between clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Resolve any project or contract issues related to cost, scope, or schedule.

Qualifications

5–10 years of experience managing large-scale utility or power industry projects.

Bachelor’s degree required; P.Eng or PMP certification strongly preferred.

Experience with transmission, distribution, substation, or generation (Gas, Hydro, OSG) projects.

Strong knowledge of project management principles and contract administration.

Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
