The T&D Superintendent oversees all field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role plans, organizes, and supervises all construction activities within the assigned project area.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily field construction activities, subcontractor coordination, and code/spec compliance.

Manage construction schedules and ensure subcontractors meet all contractual T&D requirements.

Oversee all major T&D work: HV transmission lines, steel/wood structures, foundations, grounding, environmental compliance, substations, equipment, and controls.

Ensure safety excellence through regular audits, PTAs, TSOs, and site-wide safety practices.

Monitor productivity, material usage, equipment, staffing, and overall craft performance.

Build strong relationships with clients, A/E teams, and subcontractors.

Support project procedures, standards, work documents, and change requests.

Approve purchase requisitions and field design changes (under Construction/Project Manager).

Complete daily reports, photos, and documentation of progress.

Review subcontractor 3-week look-ahead schedules and proactively identify issues.

Maintain markups/as-builts, respond to RFIs, and manage field change orders.

Verify materials meet specs, are stored correctly, and that maintenance/heat is performed.

Coordinate with QA/QC to validate welding qualifications.

Witness equipment setting and alignment; participate in all hydro testing walk-downs.

Generate punch lists, ensure latest drawing revisions are used, and track installed quantities/hours.

Oversee site material and tool management.

Perform other duties as assigned and comply with company policies.

Qualifications

Education/Experience (one of the following):

Bachelor’s + 7 years T&D construction or craft supervision

Associate’s + 9 years T&D construction or craft supervision

HS Diploma/GED + 11 years T&D construction or craft supervision

Strong leadership, communication, and safety background.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Must meet company driving requirements.
