Job Title: Maintenance Electrician – Sawmill
Location: Live Oak, Florida
Pay Rate: $40.00/hour
Hours: 55 hours/week (5x10 schedule)
Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our sawmill team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial machinery maintenance and electrical systems, ensuring that all production equipment operates safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and industrial machinery.
Work with production equipment such as conveyors, saws, planers, chippers, and debarkers.
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot motors, VFDs, starters, relays, sensors, and control panels.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC logic for diagnostic purposes.
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Work safely following lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA regulations.
Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to resolve mechanical or electrical issues quickly.
Assist with upgrades, installations, and modifications of production equipment as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a maintenance or industrial electrician, preferably in sawmill, woodworking, or manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, motors, drives, and motor control systems.
Experience with PLC, VFD, hydraulics, and pneumatics is highly desirable.
Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical systems.
Must be able to work a 5x10 schedule (55 hours per week).
Strong understanding of workplace safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.
