Turbine Blader – Strong Machining Experience Required

Location: Project-Based / Outage Work
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime & Extended Shifts Expected
Industry: Power Generation / Turbine Outages

Job Summary:
SWA is seeking experienced Turbine Bladers with a strong machining background to support upcoming turbine outage and maintenance projects. This role is ideal for technicians who combine hands-on turbine blading experience with precision machining skills, including fitting, grinding, measuring, and working to tight tolerances. Candidates must be comfortable working in high-demand outage environments while following strict OEM, safety, and quality standards.

This is a skilled, hands-on position intended for experienced turbine professionals—not entry-level candidates.

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a drug screen and a background check
- Prior turbine blading experience REQUIRED
- Strong machining background REQUIRED (manual machining, grinding, precision fitting)
- Proven ability to work to tight tolerances
- Experience using precision measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 (or ability to obtain)
- Outage experience in power generation environments
- OEM turbine experience (GE, Siemens, or similar)
- Lead or senior-level turbine blading experience
- Strong safety record in industrial settings

- Entry-level, helper, or trainee candidates will not be considered

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and removal of turbine blades and buckets
- Execute precision machining tasks, including grinding, fitting, polishing, and alignment
- Work with tight tolerances using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and OEM procedures
- Inspect turbine components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy
- Support turbine disassembly and reassembly during outages
- Follow all site safety, quality, and outage procedures
- Work extended hours, nights, weekends, and overtime as required
