Senior Site Safety & Health Specialist (T&D/Substation)
1-year contract to start on a multi-year Oncor project supporting transmission, distribution, and substation work across Texas
Pay: $50–$60/hr
Travel: 100% travel throughout TX (West, East, NE TX). This is a rover-style role supporting multiple projects
Expenses covered (not per diem) due to continuous travel between sites
Ideally looking for someone based in Texas who can drive to various project locations
Role Overview
Responsible for leading and implementing site-specific safety programs on heavy construction projects. Provides safety leadership to project teams, ensures compliance with OSHA and company standards, conducts audits and assessments, manages documentation, leads training, investigates incidents, and can stop work if unsafe conditions exist.
Key Requirements
Strong high-voltage T&D and substation experience (preferably 5+ years)
Background in construction or utility safety
OSHA knowledge (construction and general industry); OSHA 10 or 30 required
CUSP or other recognized safety certification preferred
Degree in Safety, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company vehicle policy
Strong communication skills

This role supports both direct hire crews and subcontractors on a large Texas utility program and requires extensive travel between active projects.
