Essential Requirement (non-negotiable):
• Maintenance, Diagnostics, & Troubleshooting: Maintain, diagnose, and repair CAT mobile equipment, including haul trucks, dozers, hydraulic shovels, motor graders, front-end loaders, and articulated trucks, etc.
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance are key here. Mechanics with only small auto experience or only class 8 truck experience are NOT qualified. Mechanics with only parts-changing experience are NOT qualified.

Experience in order of preference:

• Open pit mining experience
• Military (Maintaining large equipment)
• Construction (large equipment only)
• Trash truck and bus maintenance experience (anything large, mobile, and has hydraulics)

Experience with underground mining equipment will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Much of the underground equipment is too small to really translate to what we have in the open pit.
