The Design Engineer will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of electric utility products, managing projects from concept through prototype testing. Responsibilities include creating part and assembly designs, specifications, and engineering drawings, evaluating proposed product changes, performing feasibility and quality testing, and recommending efficient, cost-effective procedures. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to meet project milestones, providing technical support to field sales, and independently handling moderately complex products or product lines. Candidates should have a BSEE or equivalent, 5–10 years of engineering experience, proficiency with 3D modeling software, and strong communication skills. Experience in electric utility products, manufacturing environments, and SolidWorks or ProE is preferred.
