The Senior Transmission Project Manager leads the delivery of complex transmission line and substation projects from planning through closeout. This role ensures projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget while meeting regulatory, environmental, and company standards. As a senior-level contributor, this position provides project leadership, oversight, and mentorship across cross-functional teams.

Essential Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end execution of large transmission and substation projects
Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality across multiple projects
Coordinate with engineering, construction, environmental, real estate, and permitting teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Track financial performance, forecasts, and capital spend
dentify and mitigate risks, manage change requests, and resolve project issues
Lead project meetings, reporting, and executive updates
Review project deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency
Mentor and support project managers and project coordinators
Travel up to 10% may be required
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills
Required:


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
7–10+ years of project management experience
Minimum 3 years managing transmission, substation, or utility infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of utility project delivery, permitting, and regulatory requirements
Proven experience managing large, complex capital projects
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Power BI, etc.)
Strong leadership and ownership of complex capital projects
Clear, confident communication with diverse stakeholders
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Preferred:
PMP® or equivalent certification (or commitment to obtain)
Advanced degree
Deep understanding of NERC, FERC, and state regulatory requirements
Demonstrated success mentoring project teams
Strong financial acumen and cost-control expertise
