[Field Technician] Electrical Testing Experts Needed for Data Centers in Fayetteville, Georgia

Position Summary:
The Field Technician will support field testing, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power equipment. This person will work hands-on with equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, grounding systems, instrument transformers, switches, and other low, medium, and high voltage electrical apparatus. This is a field-based role that requires travel, overtime, strong safety awareness, and interest in growing within electrical testing and NETA certification.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Travel locally and regionally to customer sites to support electrical testing and maintenance work
Assist with testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining electrical power equipment
Work around low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems
Support testing on equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motors, PTs, CCVTs, CTs, and related apparatus
Use and learn testing equipment such as Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, power factor testing equipment, and CT ratio/saturation testing equipment
Read and reference manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to help troubleshoot equipment issues
Document test results, maintenance work, repairs, and field findings
Follow safety policies and participate in job site safety meetings
Identify potential hazards and communicate issues to the crew lead or senior technician
Interact professionally with customers while on site
Continue developing technical knowledge with the goal of progressing toward NETA certification

Must-Have Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in the electrical power, utility, industrial, electrical contractor, or related field environment
Experience working hands-on with electrical systems, electrical equipment, or power distribution equipment
Comfortable working in the field and traveling locally/regionally
Able to work overtime and occasional overnight travel
Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow strict job site safety procedures
Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 70 lbs when needed

Preferred Qualifications:
NETA Level II certification, or experience level that could qualify them for NETA Level II
Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, or maintenance
Experience with any of the following:
Circuit breakers
Transformers
Switchgear
Motors
CTs/PTs
CCVTs
Low voltage, medium voltage, or high voltage systems
Experience using or assisting with:
Megger
Ductor
Hi-Pot
Power factor testing
CT ratio/saturation testing
Electrical contractor apprentice background
Industrial electrical experience
Utility, power generation, renewables, commercial facility, or data center exposure
