The Field Technician will support field testing, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power equipment. This person will work hands-on with equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, grounding systems, instrument transformers, switches, and other low, medium, and high voltage electrical apparatus. This is a field-based role that requires travel, overtime, strong safety awareness, and interest in growing within electrical testing and NETA certification.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Travel locally and regionally to customer sites to support electrical testing and maintenance work.
- Assist with testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining electrical power equipment.
- Work around low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems.
- Support testing on equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motors, PTs, CCVTs, CTs, and related apparatus.
- Use and learn testing equipment such as Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, power factor testing equipment, and CT ratio/saturation testing equipment.
- Read and reference manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to help troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Document test results, maintenance work, repairs, and field findings.
- Follow safety policies and participate in job site safety meetings Identify potential hazards and communicate issues to the crew lead or senior technician.
- Interact professionally with customers while on site Continue developing technical knowledge with the goal of progressing toward NETA certification.
