- Perform testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protective relays in substations and power systems.
- Conduct end-to-end relay testing utilizing DOBLE test equipment and protection testing software.
- Execute established relay test plans and assist in developing customized test procedures for specific projects and protection schemes.
- Analyze relay performance, fault records, and event reports to verify proper operation and identify issues.
- Support commissioning activities involving transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, control systems, and other substation apparatus.
- Troubleshoot protection and control circuits in transmission and distribution substations to resolve operational problems.
- Read and interpret relay one-line diagrams, protection schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings to plan and execute work accurately.
- Support outage, energization, and commissioning activities to ensure safe and successful system start-up and restoration.
- Interface with customers and project teams during field execution, providing clear communication on progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Perform field work locally and regionally with periodic overnight travel as required by project needs.
- Participate in safety trainings and NETA certification sessions to maintain and enhance technical competency.
- Use company-provided tools, equipment, and technology, including test equipment, laptop, and mobile phone, in accordance with procedures and safety standards.
